The MagMeasure is an adjustable height indicator for galvo laser engravers.

If you regularly engrave the same product, this simplifies your focus process and can speed up setup.

If you know the height of your product, adjust the height of your laser to that exact height on the indicator. No need for further repeat measurements. If you are going to engrave on a 4mm coin directly on the laser bed, adjust the height of the laser until the indicator reads 4mm. If you are going to engrave that coin on a 10mm thick jig, set the indicator to 14mm. Your laser will be in perfect focus every time.

The ruler is infinitely vertically adjustable (along the MagMeasure Ruler Mounting Blocks) for easy adjustment for your laser's lens length. If you switch lenses the ruler can be easily adjusted up or down to zero out the ruler at the new lens focal distance. Once it is adjusted for your lens it doesn't need to be moved. We suggest adding a mark just below, above, or to the side of the ruler once it's zeroed out so if you change lenses it will be easy to adjust when you switch between lenses. No need to remeasure for the ruler placement.

If you would prefer to use your own ruler, no problem! Mount your ruler to the laser post. If you use only one lens on your laser this is a fine solution and there is no need to use our MagMeasure Ruler & Mounting Blocks. You will need to mount the ruler accurately, though, as vertical adjustment may be needed when initially setting it up. If you switch between lenses and want to use your own ruler, you will need to remove the ruler and readjust its placement for the new lens length.

You can select between no ruler provided (if you want to use your own ruler*), the 6 inch ruler with 2 ruler mounting blocks, the 8 inch ruler with 3 ruler mounting blocks, and the 12 inch ruler with 4 ruler mounting blocks.

There are two Indicator Mounting Block options. One is shorter and has an adhesive back for mounting to your laser. The second is a longer mounting block and has cutouts for mounting to the bottom of your laser using bolts should your laser have threaded holes on the bottom (up to 100mm apart on center) in an appropriate position for the laser indicator arm to sit. For instance, the ComMarker Omni1 has threaded holes about 90mm apart located on the laser support platform which work with this mounting block. Please refer to the support section for instruction on how to determine if the mounting block will work well for your laser.

If you want to mount your MagMeasure Indicator to the side of your laser, there is an 90 degree arm adapter that allows for side mounting the MagMeasure Indicator. As the side of lasers don't have mounting holes, the long mounting block is unavailable for this option. The MagMount Indicator Mounting Block with Adhesive is the only available choice to side mount the MagMeasure Indicator. A nice feature of side mounting the Indicator is that it is easy to adjust the height of the indicator at initial setup.

CUSTOM MOUNTING BLOCK

If you have a laser that has threaded holes on the bottom of your laser that you want to hard mount the MagMeasure Indicator Arm to but they aren't in a position that the long block option works with, and you don't want to use the adhesive mount, I can make you a custom mounting block. There is a $30-$60 up-charge for this service and I will need specific measurements. MagMeasure with Custom mounting block can be ordered HERE.
